What is the Women’s Leadership Council?

Launched in December 2014, The Women’s Leadership Council is a Women Professionals network who believes in and supports Switchboard’s mission to counsel, connect and empower those in needs. Council members serve as ambassadors within their own peer groups and business networks to promote Switchboard’s programs, volunteer needs, fundraising, marketing and outreach. Their mission is to raise awareness, funds and volunteers for Switchboard while empowering women in the community.

Why the Women’s Leadership Council?

Do you or someone you know struggle with depression or mental health issues? Switchboard is a quickly growing Miami-based organization, connecting almost 200,000 individuals to urgently needed services every year. Switchboard is Miami-Dade, Collier, and Monroe County’s only 2-1-1, provides the national backup line to the National Suicide Lifeline, is multi-lingual (English, Spanish, and Creole), and has an enormous counseling department in its Family Counseling Services Division in Kendall.
