Switchboard’s Third Annual All Star Non-Profit Awards Luncheon

Presented by the Miami Dolphins

Since 1968, Switchboard has been providing information and referrals to thousands of callers in need of assistance with basic needs, crisis intervention and emotional support. People from all walks of life have called our 24-hour telephone Helpline and gotten assistance from non-profits in the area. Our client rate of satisfaction is very high, thanks in big part to the untiring work of the almost 900 agencies listed in our database, that provide about 5,000 programs. It is because of this abundance of agencies that Switchboard decided to honor and award some of the Miami’s finest entities, creating the All Star Non-Profit Awards.

On Friday, October 17th, 2014, Switchboard had the privilege to celebrate and award the organizations at their 3rd Annual All Stars Award Luncheon presented by the Miami Dolphins and held at Jungle Island. Over 450 community leaders, corporate funders, individual donors, nonprofit board and staff members and community volunteers came together to honor the best of South Florida and to congratulate them on their outstanding achievements.

“It was truly an all-star day. Our sponsors went above and beyond to help us salute all of the non profits in our community,” said Switchboard’s Development Manager Amy Crismond.

Nominations were submitted and scored by Switchboard’s guest judges based on the non-profits’ community involvement and a variety of criteria.

We Thank Our Judges: Cheryl Jacobs, Barbara Riesberg, DD Eisenberg, Margaret Ralph, Marni Lennon, Paula Lawson, Yesenia Moreno, Bob Barrett, Leonor Anthony, Lucy Nunez, Jeff Cooperman, Maibe Casalins, Mark Buchbinder, Romy Jurado, Sharon Langer and Steven Machat.
