Miami All Star Competition
It’s that time again! Switchboard is happy to announce our Third Annual All Star Awards Luncheon this October 17. Held at Jungle Island, we will honor and commemorate non-profit organizations in Miami-Dade for their stellar role in helping our community.
Non-profits nominated will be scored based on community involvement, personal gains, and other criteria. Following the pronouncement, we will award non-profits as true “All Stars” in our community by featuring them on our website and social media sites, awarding them the recognition they deserve.
The diversity in this year’s competition entrees is by far greater than years before. Some of our superb non-profits include Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida, SAVE, and Family Resource Center. Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida is a local organization that aims to provide an accepting and nurturing environment where girls can build areas like confidence, character, and leadership skills. Save is a local organization aimed to promote, protect, and defend equality for people in South Florida who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. Family Resource Center is a leader in child welfare services, providing services that aid in child abuse prevention and treatment.
Over 500 corporate funders, private foundations, government agencies and officials, individual donors, non-profit board and staff members, and community volunteers are anticipated to come on October 17th to proclaim all nominated non-profits for their advocacy in our community.
