SWITCHBOARD OF MIAMI IN CRITICAL NEED OF CREOLE & FRENCH CREOLE-SPEAKING VOLUNTEERS
Switchboard of Miami, Inc. the area’s leading crisis counseling & information and referral services, asks those with backgrounds in mental health, social work, psychology and/or /psychiatry to help in the aftermath of the January 12th earthquake in Haiti.
To ensure prompt assistance for the area’s Haitian community, Switchboard is actively and urgently recruiting motivated individuals 18 years or older , who speak Creole and/or French-Creole language, to volunteer with Switchboard. Short- and long- term assignments are available in various capacities. Expedited training provided at the Switchboard office, 701 SW 27th Avenue, Miami 33135. Background checks are required.
Switchboard of Miami offers 24-hour counseling and information and referral services for anyone in need of support in this time of grief. Information and Referral services are also available by calling The Children’s Trust 2-1-1 which is managed and operated by Switchboard. Customized individual and group counseling activities for businesses and organizations are also available.
