Finalists Announced for Switchboard of Miami’s
4th Annual Katz Barron Squitero Faust All-Star Non-Profit Awards

More than 100 applications submitted for awards to honor Miami-Dade County’s dedicated non-profits

MIAMI, Fla. (October 16, 2015) – Switchboard of Miami, Inc. (Switchboard) and Katz Barron Squitero Faust are pleased to announce the finalists for the 4th Annual Katz Barron Squitero Faust All-Star Non-Profit Awards. Taking place Thursday, November 19th at 11 a.m. at Jungle Island in Miami, the awards will celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievement of Miami-Dade County’s local non-profit organizations, their executive teams and philanthropic leaders in the community.

“All of us at Switchboard Miami are thrilled to announce this year’s finalists,” said Switchboard of Miami President and CEO Catherine Penrod. “Each of the finalists work so hard in our community to make it a better place.”

Every non-profit organization and their boards are encouraged to attend the luncheon and awards ceremony to celebrate the coming together of the community. Awards will be given in nine categories including the Facebook photo album driven Miami All-Star Award. The finalists for the 4th Annual Katz Barron Squitero Faust All-Star Non-Profit Awards are:

Most Valuable Non-Profit All-Star: Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami; Dolphins Cancer Challenge; Miami Rescue Mission; No More Tears; Women’s HIV Service

Nine non-profit organizations have also been nominated for Switchboard’s 2015 Miami All-Star including Florida Foster Care Network; It’s My Birthday; Little Lighthouse Foundation; Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc.; PACE Center for Girls Miami; No More Tears; Voices for Children Foundation, Inc.; The Women’s Fund and The YMCA of South Florida. Facebook users are encouraged to vote for a non-profit organization by liking their photo in Switchboard’s 2015 Miami All-Star photo album.

The winners in each category will receive an award trophy and bulk flower donation from Galleria Farms.

Switchboard of Miami provides 24/7 assistance to counsel, connect and empower people in need. Their suicide prevention programs, information and referral contact center, and crisis counseling and wellness services serve as both a first point of assistance and a last resource for Miami-Dade County residents. Monies raised at the 4th Annual Switchboard of Miami All Star Awards will directly contribute to funding Switchboard of Miami.
